As the Certified Welding Inspector, you work in coordination with other coworkers to ensure that all jobs are welded to the specifications of each job and meet the outlined requirements. This position is full time and located out of the Cranston, RI location.  

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Inspect completed welds
  • Check welding specifications for a job
  • Ensure the correct equipment and materials are being used for a weld
  • Ability to interpret codes and ensure the welds meet the acceptance standards by using the proper equipment 
  • Examine workpieces for defects
  • Assess the quality and strength of completed welds
  • Suggest alternative welding techniques
  • Demonstrate correct welding procedures
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
  • Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
  • Document actions by completing production timesheets
  • Accomplish organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments


  • Attentiveness to detail, with ability to learn, able to take direction
  • AWS CWI certification required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years previous experience
  • Organized and energetic
  • Certified Welding Inspector certification (Required)
  • MIG (GMAW) welding: 1 year (Required)
  • TIG (GTAW) welding: 1 year (Required)
