As the Coldmasters HVAC/R Service Technician you will be responsible to provide exceptional Quality and HVAC and Refrigeration needs. Our services include: repairs and retrofits, preventative maintenance (PMs), engineering services and complete installation of new equipment. Coldmasters technicians install and service the finest equipment in the industry to meet your exact requirements. This position is full time, Monday- Friday, and will located in our Cranston, RI office.




  • Refrigeration license in MA or RI

  • Apprenticeship Training including 144 hours per year classroom instruction on your own time

  • 5+ years’ experience in ACR piping installations

  • Experience in Commercial and Industrial environments

  • Experience working on lifts, ladders and staging

  • Excellent communication, leadership skills and customer relations

  • Must be competent with technology using the iphone for emails, scanning & HVAC apps!

  • Must be able to work independently and be a team player!

  • Must believe in a job well done!


Work Environment

This position requires the employee to work both inside and outside. The employee may be subject to loud noises and hot and cold temperatures while on work site. May occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces. Will climb ladders and stairs every day.  


Position Type 

Work day is based on 8-hour day between the hours of 7am and 5pm, Monday through Friday.  Overtime will be available and work during nights and weekends will be required. Must be available for work during On Call hours (Rotating). 

Travel up to 50-mile radius from Providence will be required every day.  


Required Education and Experience:

  • Journeyman Refrigeration license in RI and/or MA

  • EPA universal refrigerant use certification

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Experience in Commercial and Industrial environments 

 Physical Demands:



  • Lifting under and over 40

  • Stooping, walking, Standing, bending, reaching, pulling and pushing

  • Outside work

  • Climbing Ladders

  • Clarity of vision at both over 20 feet and under 20 inches

  • Able to judge depth, have a good field of vision, and identify and distinguish colors
