Responsibilities

RISE Engineering is seeking a Project Manager for multi-family efficiency projects in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.  As a Project Manager you possess exceptional organizational skills and a history of marshaling mechanical and electrical projects from start to finish on-schedule and on-budget while maintaining quality standards and customer satisfaction.

 

Experience selling projects, managing contractors, specifying HVAC equipment, system design and costing a strong plus. This position is based in Hyannis, MA. It reports to the Director, Electro-Mechanical Services. The selected individual will work within systems and processes in place at RISE to perform job functions.

 

  • Manage development and implementation of multiple projects concurrently.
  • Upon development of or receiving project lead, perform in-field project development work to identify and specify energy conservation measures.
  • Develop implementation costs, materials and installation, for use in utility screening calculations.
  • Complete energy savings analysis for use in utility incentives for proposal development and customer offers.
  • Customer offer presentation and customer project approval – close the deal.
  • Procure and track materials as required, and secure appropriate installation resources.
  • Perform in-progress and final inspections of contracted projects.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to company and industry standards.
  • Quickly and efficiently resolve any installation, craftsmanship, warranty, customer service or other issues.
  • Responsible for project from inception through incentive development, costing, contractor selection, installation, work meeting requirements, closure after completion.
  • Work with billing department to ensure timely, accurate invoicing.

 

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years’ project coordination experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of Heat Pumps and VRF systems, equipment and terminology.
  • Proficiency with databases and Windows-based computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Bachelor’s degree. Other combinations of education, training and experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree will be evaluated on an individual basis.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage workload with minimal supervision.
  • Problem solver capable of working through issues quickly and effectively.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to travel to job sites throughout Mass. or R.I. as needed.
  • CEM, CEA, LEED AP, PMP and/or other relevant professional certification a plus.
  • Experience working with utilities, energy-efficiency companies and/or installation contracting firms to secure available incentives for energy end-users would be preferred but not required.
