Energy Efficiency Representative

RISE is currently seeking a Energy Efficiency Representative to be responsible to install energy efficiency measures in commercial buildings, apartment complexes and condominiums to support utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs in New York. The position is based out of the Syracuse, NY territory.  Hours are M-F, 8:00am- 5:00pm.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Generate domestic-hot-water installation opportunities by following up on commercial leads in the field

  • Clearly explain energy-efficiency program objectives to prospective customers

  • Install low flow, pre-rinse spray valves and other energy efficiency measures

  • Record data and complete installation paperwork

  • Travel throughout the service territory on a daily basis

  • Complete tasks within set timelines and adapt quickly to change

  • Adhere to the company’s safety policies and procedures


Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience in construction or facility maintenance
  • Strong verbal, writing and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Access to electronic mail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A commitment to and enthusiasm for energy efficiency
  • A reliable automobile, valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and clean driving record

Physical Demands

  • Physically able to fulfill job functions, including lifting up to 50 lbs. for short periods
  • Driving distances of up to 150-200 miles to reach work area
