RISE has a 20+ year relationship with Cape Light Compact, the award-winning administrator of efficiency programs serving Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard.  Over this period, we’ve completed mainly lighting projects for over 400 small/medium commercial customers annually through the Compact’s Small Business program, representing a large majority of energy users in the region. We have moved into the next generation of this initiative to address climate change with decarbonization strategies like weatherization and heat pumps. It requires us to reach out to those who have not yet participated, and to re-engage to introduce those we may have already served with these different technologies. Substantial incentives from the Compact help make our offers very attractive.   In this position, you will be responsible for using a wide variety of marketing strategies to cultivate relationships with eligible businesses to encourage them to participate in the Compact program and use highly attractive incentives to invest in efficiency improvements.  You will work closely with RISE field and installation staff, as well as with program managers and support staff at Cape Light Compact.  As discussed above, at times you will be working with energy users who may be new to the program, while you may be re-engaging previous participants at other times.  You will have a variety of marketing/outreach mechanisms at your disposal, including person-to-person canvassing (“Main Street” initiatives), social media, telemarketing, direct mail, and event participation.    Electronic databases, public records and other resources are available to help guide your efforts. You will be asked to perform certain administrative tasks in support of the program and perform ad hoc project roles as directed by the manager.
